I. Structure:

The attendees will be working everyday with North Czech Philharmonic Teplice, a Small ensemble and professional singers under the guidance of Prof. Johannes Schlaefli (symphonic repertoire) and Norbert Baxa (opera repertoire).
Our Program offers lots of podium-time and video-reviews with focus on technique, rehearsal-work and interpretation with a wide range of repertoire to choose.
An important part of International conducting master-class 2010 is preparation of the outdoor concerts on August 5th, 7th and 12th, which are a part of the Teplice summer concert season. Each participant will conduct in one of these concerts.
The high point of the Programme is preparation of the final concert to be held on August14th in the Teplice Cultural house; 6 participants, chosen by the orchestra and the faculty, will perform in this special concert.

IV: Conditions of courses:
Each participant has to make a selection of three works from each of the repertory groups I.,II. and III., including the favoured order (1st, 2nd and 3rd choice). From these pieces he/she will conduct at the concerts, and the same pieces will be his/her main repertory focus during the workshop. Some of the works mentioned in “Repertory III” obviously would not suit a performance in an out-door concert, whereas all Pieces from Repertory-groups I and II can be performed out-doors.
Each participant also indicates his/her first choice of Group A or B. (The same repertory, the same amount of time, but different dates of open-air-concerts.)
Based on these indications, the Faculty will assign each candidate the group and the concert-repertory, two month ahead of the workshop. The Faculty may adjust the repertory for public concerts on the basis of the observations during the first day of the course.
Each group will prepare one concert as a part of the summer concert season in Teplice.
Based on the performances shown during the course, 6 conductors will be chosen by the orchestra and the Faculty to perform at the final concert on 14thAugust
